Our History

Founded in 1890, The (GFWC) General Federation of Women's Clubs, and international women's organization, has been a unifying force, bringing togetheer local women's clubs from around the country and throughout the world that are dedicted to community service & improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteering. The General Federation of Women's Clubs is a non-profit organization and one of the largest volunteer woman's organizations in the world.  The headquarters office is located in Washington, D.C.

Who Are We

The GFWC Pinellas Seminole Woman's Club, Inc. is an affiliate of the GFWC & the GFWC Florida. The Pinellas Seminole Woman's Club was formed and federated in 1960 and supports local charities in Seminole and surrounding communities as well as globally.

Our Purpose Is To....

to serve our local community by organizing and supporting a number of projects with volunteers and financial donations. Through our volunteer service, GFWC Pinellas Seminole Woman's Club, Inc. members have an opportunity to develop leadership skills, exchange ideas and form lifelong friendships.  Club projects and programs address a wide range of issues and vary in nature.  We have two major fundraisers each year which are supported by members, guests and businesses.  These and other fundraisers afford us the means to achieve our goal of community support and also have enjoyable activities for members and guests.

GFWC Members Include

Teachers, business owners, social workers, elected officials, medical professionals, homemakers, corporate executes, students and retirees.  Although there is a considerable diversity in their ages, interests and exeriences, these women are united by a dedication to community improvement through vounteer service.

If you are interested in meeting new friends, developing new skills, and in making a difference in our community, we invite you to attend one of our meetings.

Our Club business luncheons are normally held on the fourth Thursday of each month starting promptly at 11:30 a.m. - reservations are required.  We meet at Freedom Square, Roskamp Auditorium, 7800 Liberty Lane, Seminole, FLorida.

Canine Companions, College Scholarships, Hacienda Girls Ranch, Heifer International, Honor Flight of West Coast, My Hope Chest, Nourish to Flourish, Operation Smile, Seminole Community Library, Seminole Historical Society, Seminole Kid's Appreciation Day, Seminole Pow Wow, Shepherds Village, Shriners Hospital, Sew Much Comfort, UN Foundation.

Seminole Holiday Parade  - 


Luncheons are held on the 4th Thursday of each month and reservations can be made at 301-717-8788.  Join us!  Become a member and help us with our volunteer work for our community.

We support eighteen different charities and would love to have more volunteers so we can do more for them.

We are a community-based organization focused on helping make the world around us a better, happier place. With the help of our tireless staff, we organize fundraisers, exciting community-building events, and in-depth training sessions for our volunteers.

These two ladies are the youngest one and  the "most Experienced"one of our organization.  We will celebrating a century of kindness, good will, and support with Virginia at our December 27th luncheon meeting.   She will be remembered as one of the kindest and hardest working members of the Club.
